La Gonave is intended to be a master planned sustainable green island community that would include the following projects:
- energy project that will be the economic engine for the island and will make the island self-sufficient;
- renewable energy projects;
- Jatropha farm and biodiesel plant that would employ over 18,000 Haitians;
- luxury estate housing;
- waterfront villages celebrating the history and natural beauty of Haiti;
- international and private airports;
- all-inclusive destination resorts, hotels, spas, golf courses and casinos;
- industrial city with deep seaport;
- and a homeport for large cruise ships requiring provisioning from over 600,000 acres of Haitian agricultural land.
